Unofficial title
The subject of this article was not given a name in any official media from The Secret Life of Pets franchise. As such, "Password Snakes" is purely conjectural.

The password snakes are minor characters in The Secret Life of Pets. They are a group of several mangrove pit vipers that guard the entrance to the Underbelly and require visitors to give them the secret password to gain entry into The Flushed Pets' sewer lair.

Appearance[]

The Password Snakes from the original TSLOP

The password snakes take on the appearance of ordinary bars, to fool people (or animals) trying to get in. Their eyes glow red initially, but when the password is correct, they turn green.

Plot[]

Boss

Password snakes, when they get the correct answer.

There are twelve black snakes at the gate of Snowball's lair in the sewer. They disguise themselves at normal times and ask pedestrians for the password; their red eyes turn green when they get the correct answer.

However, when the snakes ask Snowball, who is just back with Max and Duke, they are attacked by Snowball and he says the leader makes up the password; the new password is "don't ask the leader for the password!" Upon hearing this, the snakes let the animals enter.

Appearances in other media[]

The Secret Life of Pets: Unleashed[]

The snakes also appear in the event added in November 2016, The Orange Throne in the mobile video game The Secret Life of Pets: Unleashed. When the mode is switching, the snakes can be seen in the beginning, and their eyes turn green before the scene is switched to Snowball's sewer lair.
